Goup project history

I actually was just in a group project this spring semester and it went great. It was a communications project and my group got an {"A" on the project. In my opinion my group did very well because we worked really well together with being able to all not only contribute ideas but also, take criticism from the group about ideas. Whether they were bad or good our grouped listen t each other and understood what worked and what did not work. Another, is we had a great job of communicating to each other whether we could not make meetings that our group set up outside of class.

Fecundity

The bass beats the floor with all emotions, anger, confusion, sadness, and happiness. It cannot not been seen but comes at you from all areas of the living room. It constant ability to yell and scream into your ears can make you tremble. It shakes your brain and vibrates through your whole body. Making scary movies scarier than they alreasy are. Boom, Boom, Boom goes the bass. I'm not going to lie I love my Surround Sound.

Group Project

Today we changed our topic from preserving water to recycling cloths. We are going to develop a clothing drive in Ames. Where we got stuck is we could not find a place in Ames to donate the cloths too either a shelter or a charity. We emailed to speakers that came to class to see if they could help us with a place to donate cloths too. At the end of class we just spent time on how we can get people to donate their cloths for the cause. All in all it seemed to be a productive start as for ideas just need to find a place to send the cloths too.

"Having Faith"

The audience she is trying to reach out to is women who are nursing their new born children. She is trying to let new mothers know how bad dioxins are in breast milk. She does t his by using numerous examples from research she has gathered. Her examples she uses are blunt and true that it makes readers listen to what she has to say. She is trying to inform people as an act of activism because she is taking people into consideration of what we put into the environment will always come back to effect the people since we live off the environment.

What I am doing to change

Things that I am doing to make change is basically grow and mature as a person. In all aspects of life. From when I wake up to going to bed. Understanding what priorities I need to work on to make myself better and reach my goals. From school which needs help to family and how I am as a person interacting with others. To make myself and the people I surround better. Making life better each day.

In Rachel Carlson writing has uses a great deal of facts and numbers in her delivery to really express the importance of what DDT has done to people and our society. Animals dieing in great numbers and people getting cancer from the DDT. The reason I feel she does this is to draw the reader in and really get people to understand what thet are doing to the people and the wildlife.

Theme?

I feel that the writing theme spoke about how mother nature creatures are just as equal as they are to humans. Explaining how humans are just as important as those animals that we use as resources. Just because God made it that humans nuture animals, but the author disagrees and feels how can it be possible that creators are below animals. Such creatures as alligators who seem to be made by the devil do just what they are made to do and that is to survive. Just as humans do.

A First American Views His Land

The writing he can written portrays an repetitive image of small piece poems and explaing what the meaning of each poem. When he mention each peom they have a direct meaning about each peom and how it affects indians and how they were protryed and viewed nature. He also, explains the importance that the indians played in their role for the country. Not being as negative as everyone thinks. To me I feel that the poems were meaningful however, they could of been protrayed better than they were in the writing because indians were expressed in a very black in white way. From meaning one thing or the other. How they were just good people. Instead of going deeper into there culture and rich in what Native Americans really are in their life styles.

similarities and differences you've noticed between Chris McCandless and Thoreau.

While reading about these two they have many similarities, but many differernces at the sametime. Some similiar attributes they have are the detail they put into the work. Everything have so much detail from the biggest to the smallest things that they write about. They also attack challenges that take a lot of time. However, its the pride they put into their work that makes them both proud of their work. Also, both works is like their way of getting away from the stresses in society through theit work in the nature.
The main differernces between their writings is that Thoreau gets away from society however comes back to his life in his writing however, Chris is getting away but stays away and starts his new life without people like the movie Into the Wild.
