Blood Dazzler

In the book, Blood Dazzler, by Patricia Smith, shows how hurricane Katrina has changed everyone’s life in New Orleans. The book is full of poems as if each poem is a diary. In each poem it has its own theme. In a sense of what life was like before Katrina hit and the preparation that was made when the hurricane finally does. Also, the theme of it as people could say come from a African Americans view of the time that Katrina came. Another thing is how people did not really believe that it was going to happen and lack of resources by our government not only false promises were made that were never finished through and important themes.

  1. Great point in the end when you said that people didn't believed that its going to be as bad. I thought the same way when I read some of her poems.
